PATHOLOGY OF THE CHICK EMBRYO INFECTED WITH AVIAN INFLUENZA VIRUS

The sequential pathologic changes in the chick embryo infected with influenza virus were described, Degenerative and necrotic changes were seen in most of the organs. Oedema was very prominent. Heterophilic involvement was not a characteristic feature of the embryo response to Avian influenza virus.
