Abstract

A study undertaken to assess the effect of aflatoxin in pigs at two dose levels (0.1 mg/kg body weight and 0.2 mg/kg body weight) revealed that there was increase in erythrocyte sedimentation rate and reduction in packed cell volume, haemoglobin and total erythrocyte count in the aflatoxin fed pigs. There was no significant variation in the neutrophil and lymphocyte count in the experimental animals. However, after the mange infection there was slight neutrophilia.
