Abstract
The aqueous extract and pulp of E officinalis tested for their lipid lowering effects in hyperlipidaemic rabbits, proved to have a satisfactorily beneficial role in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia. Gemfibrozil produced an effect more or less similar to that of E. officinalis
